Safe Routes to School Project Contribution

State Bank of Toledo's generous $10,000 donation to the Safe Routes to School Project demonstrates our unwavering commitment to community safety and the well-being of South Tama County Community School students and families. This contribution helped the Tama Toledo Hometown Team, who is spearheading the project, achieve the ambitious fundraising goal necessary to secure state funding for infrastructure improvements, including new sidewalks and traffic signals that will enable children to safely walk and bike to the South Tama County Community Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. The project addresses a critical community need, as surveys showed 94% of parents in Tama-Toledo currently keep their children from walking or biking to school due to safety fears of busy roads, missing sidewalks, and hazardous crossings. Through this investment, State Bank of Toledo reaffirms its dedication to creating a safer community environment that will serve not only students but also seniors and families throughout the area for years to come.
